Shine Bright Every Day – Catherine Pooler Designs

So… this card… has a little piece of my heart in it. I love how it turned out SO MUCH that I can’t stop looking at it.

Sometimes a design or a card can just do that. Come together and be ‘just right.’ Maybe it’s because I love these colors together. Maybe I just love love love that circle embossed plate design, maybe I love the sequins. I think I just love it all!

I was waiting to use the stamp set with all of the lightbulbs because I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do with them, even though I knew I loved them so much. I did make a couple of cards with these colors and various ways the light bulbs were colored in. But I just love the simplicity of this one.

Beyond the look of it, I love the message. Every day truly is a new opportunity. Opportunity for so much and in every facet of life.

Hope this card brings some brightness to your day!

Tags with Clocks… Time Well Spent

I’ve been having some fun with tags this season. It’s funny to me, because when I need tags – such as around the holidays or for birthdays – I’m not motivated to make tags. It’s only when I don’t need them that I feel like making them. HA!

But aren’t these tags kinda cute?

I couldn’t resist the clocks and the cutest little sentiments to go with them. Time spent with you… is worth every second. I think my love language is time. So this set really caught my eye. All of the items you see here are of course from my favorite – Catherine Pooler Designs.

The clocks are just adorable. So adorable!!! I went with a bright color palette (All That Jazz is one of my favorite ink colors!) and smooshed the ink to the paper, with some water. To add stability, I glued a second layer under each tag of regular cardstock. Then, I added the clocks, twine, and sweet little hearts that were part of my tag di-cut set (Hearts and Tags).

These will make great tags for little gifts for my family and friends. Maybe even cute for Easter gifts. Now… off to get some gifts so I can use my tags! hahaha.

Let’s Talk about Doodle Garden – Catherine Pooler Designs

This doodle garden background stamp has me at hello. For the cards I’m posting today, I used it in a few different ways. Fully stamped in dark gray, watercolor stamped to make a lighter impression (what you see above), and also a green fade with multiple colors. You can color this stamp in – and when you do – it looks fabulous! Or, you can use it just for the fun background and leave it that way. That’s what I did this time around.

I had fun with a couple of word di-cuts too. This hello got the end of the rainbow, all in spa ink colors. Against the gray watercolor background, I think it’s a perfect match!

How about using it for a full effect black and white background? I love the crisp-ness to this. Added a spa rainbow word at the bottom and a quick little flower for fun! I did add a couple of sequins and a second layer to the word so that it would be sturdy. I love how it turned out!

I’ve made this background stamp into a bookmark in the past. Or, even colored just certain flowers throughout the card to give it some pizzazz and it looked fantastic that way, too! If you go back far enough on this blog, you might see that card hiding out!

I had this circle piece already cut out on my desk. Thought it might be perfect to layer in the ‘happy’ di-cut with more spa rainbow colors. I can say that I love this, too! If you look closely, you can see the fade of three spa ink green shades from top to bottom.

It’s just really such a lovely background stamp with so many possibilities. Hope you liked some of these! All products, inks, papers, sequins… you name it… from Catherine Pooler Designs. My favorite place for crafty fun!

Tags for Baked Gifts – Catherine Pooler Designs

If you’ve been around my instagram page, you know I like to bake. And I have a certain love for chocolate. Therefore… lots of baking and lots of chocolate… (find me @sarah.greber if you want to see more!)

So, why not make some crafty tags to stick onto my little plates of baked goods that I deliver to friends?

This set, by Catherine Pooler Designs, is perfect for my little baking tags. I loved playing around with the mixing bowls, rolling pins, and whisks. The set also has a stand mixer. I love that too, but for these tags, I left that out. Now that I think about it… I’m not sure WHY I didn’t make some with that!

Guess I’ll just have to make some more! Did I mention that I bake a LOT? Plenty of chances to use up some tags.

I used a matching pattern paper set to create these. The patterns are adorable. Some of them are more busy, so I layered white paper here and there. While the tags aren’t dimensional, they all include double pieces.

That’s certainly my motto – life is short, lick the bowl. I mean, why not?!

I finished these off with double strands of twine. All products are from Catherine Pooler! Time to get baking!
