Mothers and Daughters – Catherine Pooler Designs

I have two beautiful (inside and out) daughters. I’m really lucky and grateful.

I wanted to make them some cards to show my love.

This card came together from a challenge in my favorite crafty space – StampNation. The challenge was to create a one layer card with florals and sequins. Ummmm… can you believe it took me THREE tries to get a one layer card that I liked?!! I was shocked that it took me so long to simplify. But, I love how it turned out.

My stamping here isn’t perfect. But it’s a lovely sentiment. This set from Catherine Pooler Designs is really beautiful.

When this stamp set launched, there was an example by the design team that had a big and beautiful bouquet. Here’s my take on building one of those. I kept it simple. At one point, I had a purple rose included, but it hadn’t stamped clearly so I didn’t like the end look. Went back to having two of the pretty light blue instead.

How about this one? I love being your mom. Isn’t that nice? And, it’s true. I love being their mom and I don’t take it for granted. This bouquet came from a StampNation Bingo challenge where I needed to include flowers, scallops, butterflies… and dots. The Bingo game was so much fun – we did it together via zoom, with members from all over the world.

I hope you enjoy these cards as much as I enjoyed making them.
