Seeing Double and Triple – Let the Good Times Roll… With VIDEO

Soooo… I have to admit I was seeing double and triple when I did these cards. But I couldn’t stop. So much color, so many bright things. And I can’t wait to post them to see what YOU think! Do you feel like you’re looking at one of those scenes where everything is blurry and you have to cross your eyes to see an image? Well, don’t try that here… you won’t see a clear image. HAHA.

But, I mean, still SO FUN, right? This background stamp – actually ALL the supplies I used – are from Catherine Pooler Designs. I couldn’t wait to use some of this fun pattern paper and the fun loving roller skating set.

How about this one? Less dizzy, but still super colorful. I sprayed the background stamp with water before stamping. I suppose it looks a little messy in the end… but I’m okay with it. I cut out a heart shape to go along with the sentiment of ‘love how you roll,’ added some more fun patterned paper and all set!

I created a VIDEO of the making of these two cards. You can really see some of the dizzy when you watch the video. Beware, it might make you feel wonky. Give it a try!

I had some leftover pieces from this card, so I made a second one. Two for one! I have to say this was inspired by my friends over at the StampNation community. We have a challenge up for this weekend to do a two for one set. I love my stamping community and there is always something there to motivate me. I would have just left these extra pieces on my craft table and now, I have another cute card!

So much fun, so much color. Even though these are more bright and funky than some of my usual, I have to say they are making me smile. Hope I made you smile today, too. I love how you roll and I’m ready to let the good times roll this weekend!

Make Today Amazing – Catherine Pooler Designs

My final Amazing card of the week… and my favorite of the bunch, I think!

For this one, I di-cut a bunch of the roses, which were part of a Club Sursee last summer. After I glued them down to my card front, I blended all around the edges, leaving it brighter on the inside.

I’m all about keeping things simple, but this card takes the cake on simple. It might look more involved, but the di-cutting was the hardest part. After that, adding the beautiful ‘Amazing’ sentiment (Hello Amazing) was a great way to finish it up.

I used the newest ink colors from Catherine Pooler Designs. I just love the purple combination. And this is the ‘ribbon’ option for the Amazing stamp set. So pretty, right?

So that’s it for my week of amazing. Hope you enjoyed! Make today amazing!

Have an Amazing Day – Catherine Pooler Designs

I warned you that I kept on creating with this ‘amazing’ di-cut (Hello Amazing). And why not? Who doesn’t want to get an amazing card in the mail?

This week, Monday was tough. Last week, Monday was tough. So on Tuesdays, I decide to ‘make the day amazing’ instead of allowing them to turn into Mondays. That’s one reason I love this card. Wednesdays are always good days because you’re right in the middle of it all!

Another reason I love this card is that it was a UFO (unfinished object). Yes, this negative spaced background was from something I did long ago. I used the positive space on another card (that I loved just as much), but I glued down the middle pieces because I just knew it would come in handy. This is called the Trellis Cover Plate. You might notice that I didn’t use all of the tiny pieces from the main di-cut. I liked it with just the big pieces!

I love it because I didn’t have to do all of that hard work with paper piecing – it was already done! I believe that was a watercolor background, too, so it has a bit of texture. I added the amazing word on top and it’s all set for an amazing day!

You’re Amazing! A Rose Floral – Catherine Pooler Designs

When is the last time someone told you that you are amazing?

This card is to remind you that you ARE amazing! I just know it. I had so much fun working with this ‘Amazing’ die-cut from Catherine Pooler Designs. I made a set of three cards because I wanted to play with all of the options that the ‘Amazing’ stamp can do. You can give it an outline, make it look like a ribbon, make it plain, or make it striped like this one! Stay tuned for my future posts to see the other two cards!

For the floral kind of background, I pulled out an old favorite of mine from last summer’s Club Sursee. I ink blended and then stamped the vines… followed by cutting them all up with the Mod Strips Cover Plate (my fave). The rosebud die-cut was also part of the Club Sursee set.

I hope you have an amazing day!
