NEW Date Night Inks – Catherine Pooler Designs

I’m just saying – who doesn’t want a date night right now? Date night with a special person, date night with your friends, date night with your kids… or how about using the NEW Date Night ink colors from Catherine Pooler Designs? Ha! That’s going to be my date night tonight! Crafters, you understand!

When your date night inks are this beautiful, you won’t mind spending a lot of time with them! Check out this cute card I made! My favorite shades in the new Date Night collection are Drive-in, Pucker Up, and Cummerbund. I love them each on their own, but also together. I had so much fun making this card.

Just a note – this card is part of a GIVEAWAY for a Catherine Pooler Designs gift card. But, you have to join me over on Instagram to get in on the prize. Find me @sarah.greber. I promise it will be fun!

Here’s a close up of that adorable dumpling. The new set (Hey There Dumpling) comes with a little face with different expressions. I couldn’t help adding a cute squint/laugh and the cheeks. That background of this card is all water-coloring. Yup, Catherine Pooler inks are great for water-coloring. I put down lots of color on this watercolor cardstock and let it dry before I stamped a bunch of the Take Out stamps in versamark ink and clear embossed them. After a day of waiting on that… I added more water to the background and wiped away the color. In the end, it trapped the color under the embossed images. This is a trick I’ve seen many times, but most recently from a video of Jennifer McGuire’s. It worked like a charm with my CP inks! You should definitely give it a try!

Are you a fan of these colors?!! How about this cutie pie sushi stamp set called “Hey There Dumpling”? I couldn’t get enough of it and my kiddos had fun with these stamps, too. I used a simple circle die cut for my main sentiment area and I cut multiple layers of each sushi shape so I could stack them. On the card, they are sturdy and thick.

Finished it with a few Crater Lake sequins (CP sequin mixes are the BEST!) and that’s it! Might be my favorite card of the past year! Let me know what you think.

Birthday Card Shaker – Two for One – with VIDEO

Any fans of cards that can be made two for one? That’s what I had fun doing with this set. I knew I wanted to make a shaker card and then I thought it would be fun to use the outline piece of the die-cut for a second card. All of these supplies are from Catherine Pooler Designs. This is her new birthday set. Look at how fun the background stamp is!

More than that, the cake layers are fun to play with. For these cards, I went with a color scheme that was posted on StampNation as a challenge. Well, challenge accepted. Check out a VIDEO I created, showing how these two cards came together.

I love how the shaker turned out. Such a fun card. And, who doesn’t want to party like it’s 1999? I lined up the stamp along the edge of the inside piece, instead of using it the way it is intended. Check out my VIDEO to see that in action.

For this card, I cut out the ‘party like’ so I could move the pieces wherever I wanted. I like how that turned out. The colors are everything, though.

I added silver glitter to the bottom frosting of both cakes. Then, some sequins from another amazing sequin mix by Catherine Pooler Designs. And yes, my whole desk is still covered in glitter. Eeek!

I’ve never had so much fun making birthday cards. Hope you enjoy!
