A Couple More Fall Vibe Cards

Since I had so many fall cards, I thought it might be best to spread them out a little. I have two more cards that match up to the fall cards I shared the other day.

I’m not sure what my favorite part of this card is. The adorable drinks with the cute leaves and apples, or the perfect size leaves to tuck around the cups. Or the cinnamon sticks? I can’t decide.

I had been waiting for a ‘coffee’ set of stamps like this, that really allow you to decorate the drinks as if they have any type of drink inside. Maybe that’s because I actually don’t drink coffee. Can you believe it? I’m a hot chocolate, or hot cider, or even a hot tea kind of person I guess.

I had fun coloring the leaves in orange and yellows because that is what I’ve been seeing outside my windows this week. I love when the trees give pops of yellow, red, and orange.

I only used one piece of pattern paper for the set of four cards. You might noticed that on some of them, it’s just a small sliver, and then the others grow in size. These cards are ‘busy’ but in the best kind of way. Don’t you think?

A perfect feeling of fall and I can’t wait to make more!

It’s That Time of Year (for me) – All the Fall Vibes

Well, it’s that time of year for the area I live in. Beautiful leaves everywhere – red, orange, yellow… cooler temps, a chilly wind. This weekend was the perfect time to craft some fall themed cards.

I started by cutting out a bunch of these adorable fall themed drinks (Catherine Pooler Designs for the win). I can’t get enough of them. I want to make more and more and more. And, I will. But for now, I made enough to decorate a few cards. I grabbed a fall themed pattern paper pack and decided that my leaf stencil would be a perfect combination.

I used the colors that were listed on the paper pack. I love how Catherine Pooler Designs does that, so you can get a perfect match every time. I didn’t do any masking for this. I stamped the sentiment into place and then blended around it with the stencil. I used Buttercream around the words and then blended out a darker shade on each of the cards I made.

I love it.

Here’s a simple one that didn’t include the extra leaves… still using the pattern paper and the leaf stencil. This time I used Spiced as the darker blend.

I don’t think you can go wrong with the neutrals. Stay tuned for a few other fall cards that I made as part of this collection!

Some Green Leaves and Foolish Thinking

There’s something about this saying. I love how it’s a sentiment about being thoughtful of someone else… yet she inserts the word ‘foolishly’…

Well, I wasn’t foolish when I thought about using all of these greens together. I love it!

I was inspired by some of my friends over at Catherine Pooler’s StampNation community. One of the crafters did a background with stamped images that were stamped with just water. This led me to what you see here. I blended a LOT of greens and then stamped on top with just water. Catherine Pooler inks react to water, so viola – an interesting background piece!

I used ink to cardstock to create other leaf cut-outs in various green shades. And added some with just white as well. I hope you enjoy this layered, fun, and somewhat simple card today!
